L’OEil de Poisson, contemporary art gallery and production center in Québec city (Canada), is offering an artist the chance to present his or her work in its main gallery, following an in-house research and production residency.
Highly involved in multimedia and inter/multidisciplinarity, the centre promotes experimental art and breakthrough practices.
The residency will take place over a three-month period in the centre’s
workshops. It is designed for artists who require the use of our wood and/
or metal shops for the entire three-month period. While developing the project, the artist will have access to the center’s equipment, as well as to vast common spaces where many artists from the Québec City region work under the guidance of professional technicians.
The chosen artist will be provided with accommodations and a per diem for the entire period, which extends from October 22nd, 2012 to January 14th, 2013. The artist will be housed in one of the units of Méduse, a cooperative of centres working in visual, media and multidisciplinary arts. The artist will pay for his travel.
