Submission requirements for Gallery in the Park
(Any exceptions which will be applied at the curator’s discretion)
- Submission Packages must include the following:
- A $35 fee for each request to exhibit must be paid at the time of submission.
- Curriculum Vitae
- Artist statement or statement of intent
- Images of Art for submission
– Please include Image of artwork, title, medium, date, and dimension of the artwork – Digital files preferred for submission, may be submitted as JPEGs, PDF’s, on CD’s – Original artworks will not be accepted for submission purposes - Special equipment needed or special hanging instructions
- SASE if you request any documents returned via post
- Please do not email submissions
General Requirements for artwork submitted
- All work must be original to the artist submitting the work
- Photographic reference material must be original to the artist submitting work
- Selection of work will be the sole responsibility of the person or persons curating
- As a public gallery, many school children tour the facility and not all subject matter may-be deemed suitable, suitability of work will be determined by the curator.
- Artwork may either be priced or marked NFS (not for sale)
- All sales will be handled through the Town of Altona administrative office
- A 25% commission will automatically be paid to the Town of Altona for any work sold as a result of an exhibition at Gallery in the Park
- Art will be exhibited for the period of time agreed upon by the gallery and the artist. Any work sold during an exhibit will be available to the purchaser only at the end of each exhibition.
