Making Our Mark is the exciting new mentorship program from Arts & Disability Network Manitoba.
In partnership with Martha Street Studio, the program will provide local artists with disabilities the opportunity to explore the art of printmaking, digital art and professional art career practices. This initiative is the first of its kind in the Winnipeg arts community, supporting the full inclusion of artists with disabilities within the contemporary arts stream through discourse and skill development identified by the artists themselves.
The newly-renovated Martha Street Studio is now a fully accessible and inviting creative space. A new accessible entryway, washrooms and centrally located wheelchair lift has made Martha Street Studio a more accessible and welcoming space for this city’s immensely talented community of artists with disabilities.
We are currently accepting program applications. If you are interested in participating, please write one paragraph about your art practice and how you feel you would benefit from Making Our Mark. Please send applications to [email protected]. Application deadline is March 15, 2013. There is limited space so please apply early!
