Quest Art Rules of Entry: Open to all Canadian artists, except jurors, their families and those with whom they reside.
Submissions: Works may be submitted digitally or by CD/DVD. Please note, digital submissions will not be reviewed until payment has been received. Payments can be made by phone, online or by cheque. Each artist may submit two individual works or submit a small series of works. Artists may submit up to 6 images to allow for installation and detail shots of the two submissions. Works created must have been created in the last two years. Entries will be accepted til 5pm on Monday, October 12th, 2015.
Entry fee: $30 Members, $45 Non Members
CD/DVD requirements: Entry numbers on the form must correspond with the file names on the CD/DVD or jpegs in your email. Save files as entry1yourlastnametitlemediumsize. Eg. Entry1PriceNightHawkoil36x48 Images must be 1000 pixels on the longest side. Entry fee is non-refundable. Payment, in the form of cash, cheque, money order or on paypal, payable to Quest Art Gallery, must accompany entries. Entries with post-dated cheques will not be accepted.
Size: There are no size restrictions for this competition, however works may be selected based on space limitations of the galleries.
Presentation: All works accepted to the show must be ready for display. Work must be dry and ready to be hung or mounted. Quest Art Gallery reserves the right to reject unacceptable framing, works not ready to hang or works which are misrepresented on the CD/DVD. All works must be for sale and Quest will receive a 30% commission on all sales. Works not meeting the above criteria will not be accepted or presented to the jurors. All entries meeting the above criteria will be juried and the decision of the jurors is final.
Images of accepted submissions may be used in print or electronic media by Quest Art. For results of jurying, please include your email address. Results will not be sent by mail. If you would like your submission returned to you, please enclose a self-address stamped envelope with sufficient postage.
Results will be emailed no later than Friday, October 23, 2015. CDs/DVDs will also be available for pick up at Quest Art from October 23, 2015– January 11, 2016. After that date, they will be destroyed. Receiving of selected work will take place at Quest Art on Monday, November 16 from 10 –5 pm.
Works will be accepted if they are mailed or shipped (costs incurred are the responsibility of the artist). Please contact gallery to discuss these arrangements. Unsold, exhibited work must be picked up by Monday, January 11, 2016 between 10 – 4 pm. STORAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE. Insurance for works being shipped is the responsibility of the entrant. No entry may be withdrawn once it has been accepted and selected work must remain in the gallery for the duration.
