The Artists in the Schools Directory is used by Manitoba schools to select professional artists for residencies integrated into the school’s daily schedule. Successful applicants will be included in the directory. However, inclusion does not guarantee a residency.
Schools select artists from the directory and then contact artists to include in their own application to the Artists in the Schools Residencies Program. The application deadline for schools is May 15th for the following school year.
Eligible applicants
Artists who:
have specialized training in an art form
are recognized by their peers as a professional artist
can commit a significant amount of time to their artistic practice
have a history of professional public presentation or publication
Art groups, collectives, ensembles, and organizations who:
support, present, or produce the work of artists who have achieved professional status
