The Manitoba Craft Council and the Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library are joining forces to develop a new Hub for Craft, set to open in summer 2016. Located in an historic building in Winnipeg’s Exchange, the 3,025 sq ft facility will include an exhibition gallery, shop, library, museum and workshop space featuring the best of contemporary and historical craft this province has to offer. While the two organizations will be maintaining their own individual boards, mandates and identities, we are seeking a common name for this new public venue.
We are asking our members and friends to help us find a name for this new space for craft in Manitoba. Submit your suggestions and vote for your favourites here. The “owner” of the suggestion with the most votes will win a Citizens of Craft t-shirt. Let your creativity loose. Contest closes January 31.
