It’s time for a Good Ol’ Manitoba Social – a Good Ol’ Manitoba Craft Social that is! The Manitoba Craft Council and the Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library are thrilled to be announcing their partnership on developing a new hub for Craft in Manitoba. Doesn’t every “marriage” need a “wedding social”? And so, the Craft Social is born. Mark your calendars on April 9th to get your Craft on for an evening of fun activity booths, a craft auction, music, food, and dancing – the perfect way to celebrate and support Craft in our province. Funds raised will go to help the two organizations with the renovation of space for the new Craft hub. So get ready to celebrate this unique partnership and raise some cash for Craft.
Call for Activity Booths
During the Craft Social we will be hosting 5-7 fun activity booths conceptualized and run by volunteers. We are seeking proposals from the members of MCC, MCML, and the wider community, for booths that will raise funds for the Craft hub project.
The goal of the booths is to:
1. provide fun activities to engage social goers
2. generate additional revenue for the Craft hub.

Craft Auction Call
During the Craft Social we will be holding a craft auction and are currently seeking donations of handmade work from members of MCC, MCML, and the wider community.
Each donation will go a long way in helping raise funds for the new craft space. This space will benefit Manitoba Craftspeople through exhibition opportunities, education, preserving the history of craft and as a community meeting space. Your donation will have an impact on all of this.
Artists are asked to choose if they would like to donate 50%, 75% or 100% of the price the piece sells for to the new Craft Hub.
