| Winnipeg Montessori School is a 45 space Montessori Early Years School for children ages 2.5-6 years. We are expanding in January 2017, and will need to hire a part-time Art Room Coordinator to join our amazing team! This position involves maintaining our art room and storage, creating art projects for the children daily, and updating and refreshing art shelves. The Art Room Coordinator guides children throughout the day as they engage in art based activities in their own unique ways, encouraging thoughtful use of materials and creativity. This position also involves maintaining and updating our sensory table each day, and preparing and serving nutritious snacks, as well as some light housekeeping responsibilities. The successful candidate will also assist with the lunch and rest routines. The successful candidate should possess a Child Care Assistant classification as recognized by Early Learning and Child Care in Manitoba. They must be willing to submit to a Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector search and Child Abuse Registry check. To be considered current, these checks must have been completed within the last three months. A current Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification is also necessary, and the chosen individual must be willing, if they have not already, to enroll in a 40 hour course in Early Learning and Education or its equivalent, within the first year of employment. Preference will be given to individuals with Montessori training and/or experience. This position is for Wednesday to Friday each week, from 9:00-4:30 per day, and has the potential to become full-time, should enrollment continue to increase. Job Type: Part-time Required education:
