IEATA and WHEAT are inviting crafters, artists and therapists to setup a table at the IEATA conference that is happening here in Winnipeg this fall…
The International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) and the Winnipeg Holistic Expressive Arts Therapy Institute (WHEAT) are collaborating to co-host the IEATA 12th Bi-Annual Conference – Indigenous Roots Of Expressive Arts: Transformation, Social Justice and Social Change – Globally and Locally October 4-8, 2017 at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg.
This conference will allow up to 500 delegates from around the world an experiential engagement in the expressive arts to understand and support transformation, social justice and social change globally and locally. We will feature pre-conference outings to explore Indigenous teachings on the land, as well as relevant workshops by esteemed Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders in social change through art, who work to preserve, understand and share Indigenous arts and culture. We are inviting educators, social workers, community agencies, politicians, social justice advocates, social planners, scholars in Expressive Arts and Indigenous Studies and anyone interested in creating a more ethical, healthy and socially conscious community.
To book a $200 table, contact Dawn Chaput ([email protected]) or visit the website at: ieataconference2017.com
Feel free to share the attached posters. They hope to hear from you.
