The Winnipeg Arts Council seeks an energetic, enthusiastic, arts-focused, and organized individual to serve as the Public Art Tour Guide for the 2018 tours season. The Public Art Tour Guide plans and leads biking and walking tours of the City of Winnipeg’s collection of public art, imparting information about aesthetic, concept, and process. This year there will be 20 tours in total ranging from 1 to 3 hours each and taking place during lunch hours, in the evenings, and on weekends. Prior to the beginning of the tours season, the successful candidate will work with the Project Manager to prepare routes and scripts. They will be expected to learn about the Public Art Policy, public art process, and the City’s collection of public art to a degree that they are confident speaking about it to with public.
