The Jean A. Chalmers Fund for the Crafts assists non-profit visual arts and fine craft organizations and fine crafts professionals in undertaking projects that contribute to an understanding of the fine crafts in Canada via three program components:

- research and policy development assistance (for organizations and individuals);
- special project assistance (for organizations);
- pre-publication assistance (for organizations).
Please note: We sometimes receive applications for activities that are not aligned with this program’s objectives. To be eligible, your project must directly relate to research and policy development of fine craft in Canada. For individual research and creation projects please consider applying for a Research / Creation or Concept to Realization grant in the Explore and Create program.
