Workshop Description:
Combining ideas from origami and engineering, the Kaleidocycle is a beaded three-dimensional marvel designed by the design team of the Contemporary Geometric Beadwork Project. It is built from hinged sets of beaded triangles that can be twisted in upon themselves to reveal multiple patterns.
You will use circular peyote stitch to bead four triangle designs and then explore how multiples of the four designs relate to each other as they take their place within the Kaleidocycle structure. Finish by learning about hinge construction as you assemble your turning machine.
