June 16, 2021 | 7pm online via Zoom
Registration deadline: June 15, 2021
Author and knitter Sylvia Olsen explores Canada’s history, landscape, economy and social issues on a cross-country knitting-themed road trip. You are invited to attend her presentation “Unravelling Canada: Stories from a Canadian road trip” which is part book launch, part social commentary and part knitting stories.
In 2015 Sylvia and her partner Tex McLeod went on the road trip of a lifetime. For six weeks they travelled from Victoria to Newfoundland where she conducted workshops in more than 40 locations including McNally Robinson in Winnipeg. She taught knitting, listened to stories from hundreds of knitters and told her own stories. Along the way Sylvia gained a new appreciation and formed a new relationship with her country.
This online talk will be happening over Zoom, with advance registration required. This event is free and open to all, register below!
