Robert Jekyll Award for Leadership in Craft

REWARD THEIR PASSION

Robert Jekyll Award Receives $1,000 prize for Leadership in Craft

Every year, a fine crafts leader is recognized with the Robert Jekyll Award for Leadership in Craft. The Robert Jekyll Award for Leadership is a prestigious honour, reflecting its namesake. We recently announced that September 10th is the deadline for nominations. Today, we are happy to announce that Mr. Robert Jekyll is contributing $1,000 to the recipient of the award.

The founding president of the CCF/FCMA, Jekyll helped guide the organization through a time of overwhelming change, leading to the presence that we have today. While Robert Jekyll is known for over 30 years of remarkable stained glass work, he is also respected as a major force in the creative community at large, advancing the status of Canadian craft across the country.

The Robert Jekyll Award for Leadership celebrates distinguished contributors to the craft sector and is one of the highest markers of exceptional commitment to the development of the craft community in Canada. This year, we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Robert Jekyll Award for Leadership.

The award is for leadership and to recognize and encourage the efforts of craft artists and makers who support the crafts community beyond the studio. To be a recipient of this award is to be recognized as an invaluable citizen of craft. Complete your nomination by September 10th, 2021.
