Craft + Craft Beer: Frame Weaving with Lia Karras at Sookram’s Brewing Co

Workshop Description:
Join the Manitoba Craft Council and Sookram’s Brewing Co for Craft + Craft Beer!
Lia Karras will be hosting a “paint night style” introductory tapestry weaving workshop for attendees in the Sookrams Brewing’s taproom. Participants will create their own weaving at Craft + Craft Beer, and will take home all the equipment and knowledge they need to create more weavings in the future.
No prior weaving experience is required, and all yarn, materials and tools will be provided. Each participant will take home: a frame loom, darning needle, shuttle, comb, instruction booklet and an in-progress or completed project. Attendees are welcome to bring any special yarn they might want to incorporate into their weaving, if desired.
All attendees will receive a complimentary flight of beer from Sookram’s. Select four 5oz pours of your favorite beers or try a variety of new ones.
Sookram’s experienced staff will be available to give tours of the brewery and answer questions about making small batch specialty craft beers. Sookrams’ full beer selection will be available for purchase during Craft + Craft beer in addition to the complimentary flight of beer.
