Threads celebrates clothing that includes at least one kind of handcraft technique. Whether decorated with hand embroidery, embellished with bobbin lace, needlelace or tatting, constructed entirely with knitting or crochet, or made using hand woven fabric, these pieces of clothing showcase garments that are customized for the wearer.
With works from the collections of the Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library and the Costume Museum of Canada, the pieces span over 200 years of fashion.
