Manitoba Craft Council and Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library are excited to present
Changing Hands 2023: A Craft DeStash Sale set to take place on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
We need your help! For this event, we are seeking donations of:
– craft tools, materials, equipment, and supplies… the rigid heddle loom you thought you’d use but haven’t, that spare wood carving set, ten balls of gorgeous wool for the afghan that never was…
– hand-made items that you wish to re-home… those beautiful ceramic wine goblets you received as a housewarming gift but just don’t use, the fabulous earrings that aren’t quite your style, the knit sweater you grew out of… bring us your beloved handmades, and we’ll find them new homes!
– donations of clean, good quality items from a smoke-free environment will be much appreciated!
Donations may be dropped off from now until October 9, 2023 at 137 Home St. in Wolseley, the home of one of our amazing volunteers. Please put your donation in a plastic bag or something that can withstand a little weather if needed, clearly marked Changing Hands and leave it on the front porch. No need to ring the bell – we’ll be checking frequently. Come anytime. It’s that easy!
For larger items or larger quantities of items, please contact us at [email protected] to make drop-off arrangements ahead of time.
For this event, tax receipts may be issued, upon request, for any donation of a single item likely to sell for $100 or more. (The tax receipt will be for the value of the sale at this event.) “Love and appreciation receipts” given for all other contributions. 😂
Contact us at [email protected] to discuss a charitable receipt.
Any donated items not sold as part of this fundraiser may be retained by MCC/MCML for future events or will be donated to Arts Junction or a charitable thrift store, as appropriate and at the discretion of the event organizers.
