Join us at this unique fundraiser in support of the new Robert and Meridel Archambeau Award for Excellence in Craft.* The afternoon will feature a display of Bob’s work, reflections on his life and legacy within the local and international ceramics community, some of Bob’s favourite refreshments (chocolate cake, Crusty Bun treats, and coffee!), prize draws, and time to reconnect as friends and as a craft community. Guests will receive a piece from Bob’s extensive collection of ceramic objects – a bowl, a small plate, or cup – each an original “Archambeau” for you to use and treasure. Companion tickets are available for those who wish to join friends at the celebration for coffee and treats.
Early Bird Prize:
If you buy your tickets to The Robert and Meridel Archambeau Award Fundraiser before October 22nd, you will be entered to win a lovely serving platter by Robert Archambeau.
Winner will be drawn at the event on October 29th, 2023.
Not able to attend this event but wish to support the award?
If you live in Canada, we have a special option just for you. In addition to our gratitude, your supporter ticket ($200) entitles you to a small, original piece of Bob’s work, selected with love and mailed out to you via Canada post by November 15, 2023. Please be sure to include your mailing address when checking out!
We also have a few select Robert Archambeau pieces up for auction online which you can find HERE.
Donations can also be made to the Robert and Meridel Award for Excellence in Craft HERE. Please note in the section titled ‘Dedication Name’ that the donation is for the Robert and Meridel Award for Excellence in Craft. A charitable tax receipt will be issued for all donations.
*The Robert and Meridel Archambeau Award was established through a generous gift from the Archambeau family to create an endowment fund stewarded by the MCC and held in trust at the Winnipeg Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to support an award celebrating excellence in contemporary craft within Manitoba across craft media. More information on the award parameters and application process will be announced in early 2024. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to add to the endowment fund.
Thanks to the planning committee of this event: Alan Lacovetsky, Kelli Rey, Candice Ring, Peter Tittenberger, Chris Pancoe, and Tammy Sutherland.
