MCC Book Makers’ Gathering

Meet with Manitoban book makers for an informal monthly gathering the 2nd Tuesday afternoon of the month from 12:30-3:30pm.

This is a hybrid gathering held in-person at the C2 Centre for Craft and via zoom. All members of the Manitoba Craft Council are welcome to participate.  Free registration is required through the forms below (In-Person registration is the first form, online registration is the second). This pilot program recognizes the practice of a book maker is, for the most part, solitary. The intention of coming together on a regular basis is to discover who we are and what like-minded book artists are creating, discovering and challenged by. Possible moments of inspiration, encouragement, and kind constructive criticism could randomly occur.

There is no instruction, and no materials provided. The Manitoba Craft Council will open up the workshop space at C2 for 8 individuals to be physically on location, also ensuring attendees, unable to be in the room, can join virtually. Attendees are required to bring the book project being working on, maybe a story or 2 to share.

All participants must ensure their Manitoba Craft Council membership is in good standing each month when we gather. Students with student memberships to the Manitoba Craft Council are welcome to join.
