On the Verge: A celebration of the Life + Art of Peter Tittenberger

We invite you to join us for On the Verge: A celebration of the Life + Art of Peter Tittenberger

Sunday, November 24, 2024 | 2 pm

C2 Centre for Craft | 1-329 Cumberland Ave

Peter was a versatile and prolific artist, generous in his contributions to Winnipeg’s arts ecosystem, kind and no-nonsense in his interactions with others. Many will recall his work featured in numerous Manitoba Craft Council exhibitions over the years and at holiday craft sales like Crafted and Made in the Middle. From 2018-2021, Peter served on the MCC board, assisting with fundraising and programming. His passing in June 2024 left a hole in the hearts of his family and friends as well as Winnipeg’s craft community.

On the Verge is a celebration of Peter’s life and legacy featuring a selection of his artwork, reflections by friends and family, and refreshments – chocolate and lemon were his favourites! All are welcome to attend.

We’re also asking Peter’s friends and colleagues to consider making a contribution to the endowment fund and award being established in Peter’s name. Administered by the MCC, dividends from the fund will be used to create an on-going award that supports emerging craftspeople, giving them a leg up at a crucial time in their development. The award will serve as a lasting reminder of Peter’s legacy of creativity, community-building, and care. Donations are tax deductible and can be made online through the form below. We are also happy to accept cash or cheques written to the Manitoba Craft Council – please designate the funds towards the Peter Tittenberger Award on the memo line.
