Artist Talk with AJA Louden: Graffiti as Resistance, Seizing A Voice

In association with his exhibition, Prairie Star Deck II, visiting artist AJA Louden will be presenting an artist talk- Graffiti as Resistance, Seizing a Voice.

A brief glance at some of the diverse ways graffiti functions today, with a particular focus on graffiti (and some street art) as valuable disruptive forces. Public art as a venue useful for remedying popular misrepresentation of marginalized communities will also be a topic of discussion.

This talk is presented in association with Take Home – BIPOC Arts House and Black Film Collective Winnipeg.
