Three drawings of the same symmetrical floral design, on tissue paper, oilskin, and watercolour paper. The drawing on watercolour paper is partially painted in detail with watercolour and gouache. Done by Eugene E. Clephan, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, 1903. Clephan (1843-1904) was an architect and surveyor in England; he designed several major buildings in Stockton but went bankrupt in the 1880s. He died in 1904, just a year after creating these pieces.
