Valerie Metcalfe
I fell in love with making pots over 40 years ago while in Art School. Setting out to be a full time studio potter required a lot of drive, obsession, and not a little romanticism.My inspiration comes from working. It’s a mysterious process, but the more I work, the more ideas come. I am a production potter and my work is primarily functional, and to me beauty is a part of function. All my work is porcelain.
