Ingrid Lincoln

  • Fibre
  • Mixed Media

Ingrid Lincoln is a textile artist who is interested in colour and texture on fabric. Her works are mainly abstract and convey a mood.  Dyeing of fabric is a constant in the work. The work incorporates materials other than fabric including resin, organic material, paper and metal.  The resulting work is either mixed media wall pieces and  three dimensional work or wearable items such as scarfs..

She holds certificates in Design and Embroidery from the City & Guilds of London Institute and a B.A. (Hon.) in Embroidered Textiles with Middlesex University, London, England. She has exhibited throughout Canada and the United States. As a result of two residencies at the Banff Centre; she has exhibited work relating to women who explored the Rocky Mountains at the Whyte Museum in Banff.  She recently has been a mentee with the MAWA mentorship program.
