Jody Chanel
Jody hand weaves unique fibre art with a variety of materials including textured cottons, wools yarns, silks, beads, and jewelry. On her Canadian-made spinning wheel, Jody spins highly textured art yarns to add interest to her pieces. Jody spins and weaves on the beautiful Manitoba prairies, and buys all her materials from small Canadian shops. She chooses as many recycled materials as possible, such as upcycled sari silks and cotton ropes. Jody incorporates many styles of weaving into her pieces and draws inspiration from the nature that surrounds her.
