I have been working with mainly glass and ceramic tiles to make mosaic art for some time. Initially it was a way to make gifts for family and friends, but now has become much more to me. I find my work is slowly evolving as I use shading, colour and flow in more informed way. There is so much to learn and I do enjoy the challenge of more intricate work, as for instance people’s faces. Mosaic art is or course not limited to glass or tiles but may be made from much of nature’s bounty such as metal, stones, and shells. Mosaic is really a fun art or craft and can be done or enjoyed at any skill level. It is a great way to recycle old dishes or jewellery and breathe new life into old furniture and other home accessories- even walls.
