Karen Wardle
Karen has been an artist of one kind or another all her life. Starting out as a graphic designer making t-shirts and signs, she returned to university and graduated with a bachelor of fine arts. She has since focused on painting and creating fabric based sculptures. Her work explores the body and the closely interwoven relationship between humanity and nature. Underlying issues of fertility, language and social convention influence, and give metaphoric meaning to her work .Karen’s art is in private collections and has been exhibited in group shows and solo shows across Canada.
