Box/Boîte | C2 Centre for Craft

Round birch bark box with lid. Sides of box and lid are decorated with solid white quillwork; top of lid has red and blue quillwork. Likely by an Ojibwe maker; this piece was sold in the Canadian Handicrafts Guild shop in Winnipeg.

Boîte ronde en écorce de bouleau avec couvercle. Les côtés de la boîte et le couvercle sont décorés de piquants de porc-épic blanc uni; le haut du couvercle est orné de piquants de porc-épic rouges et bleus. Cette pièce, probablement d’origine ojibwée, a été vendue dans la boutique de la Guilde canadienne des métiers d’art, à Winnipeg.
