Dress – Knitted
This smock style young girl’s dress was likely made in the Glenboro, Manitoba area by a member of one of the families’ Baldwin, Arason, or Magnus. Fastened with one button at the neck, this dress is made with variegated wool (pink with a pearly luminescent). The bodice and hem areas have a diamond design. Three different stitches used: ribbing (bodice); garter (armholes); and the rest is plain stocking stitch. The cream trim is in crochet. This was worn in the 1930s by the donor.
