This journal has a handmade cover of marbled paper adhered to blue cardstock and is dated June 1830 inside the front cover. It contains several pages of handwritten entries for recipes such as ginger cordial, napkin cheese, blackcurrant lozenges, plum cheese (plum jelly), and cake. Other entries include potpourri recipes and instructions for washing lace. Some entries are signed by different people. The book is hand-bound with thread and has one signature.
