Pin Ball
This pincushion, or pinball, was crafted by Joanna McMann in 2010 and exhibited in MCML’s Casting On exhibit. The design, Tokens of Love is based on the girls of the Adewath Quaker School in 18th Century England, who knitted tiny pincushions in embroidery floss with fine needles. The piece is stuffed with fleece from Joanne Seiff’s drop single workshop, and trimmed in a multi-strand braiding technique taught by MCML board member, Carol Kaye at a Made by You event.
