Artist Talk with Nika Feldman

at the Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library

Textile-based artist Nika Feldman will reflect on the evolution of her work in embroidery, printing/dyeing and garment construction through the lens of a nomadic lifestyle that has taken her to Japan, India, Nepal, US and Canada.  Feldman has studied, taught and exhibited her work internationally.  For full biographical information and to see more images of her work go to her website.

Nika invites all to join her for a one day trunk sale on Sunday, March 24th, 1-5 pm at 264 Home St.  On display for show & tell/sell will be Nika’s own textile work, as well as other treasures she has collected throughout her travels such as: kantha quilts made from recycled cotton saris, tribal skirts and cholis, misc. mirror embroidered bits and silver tribal jewelry.  See the blog entry here for more info on the trunk sale.
