Lacemakers Exhibition

Through its annual open exhibition opportunities, Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, UK, helps artists locally, nationally and internationally to showcase their work in group exhibitions across three gallery spaces. Lace is an openwork fabric, patterned with open holes in the work, made by either by hand or machine. Once considered stuffy and Victorian, lace has been revived and reinvented by fashion designers, craftspeople and artists. This contemporary open exhibition showcases this versatile medium. We are seeking examples of lace, work incorporating lace or work inspired by lace.
