First Friday with Karen Wardle

Friday, November 7, 2014, 5-9 pm
at the Manitoba Craft Council office
553-70 Arthur St.
About Karen’s recent work:
The Secrets of the Snow Queen an Eco Tale, written by Ruth Matlow Asher, is illustrated by Manitoba Craft Council member Karen Wardle.   The works is this First Friday exhibition are a selection of pieces that were used in the book.  While much of the detail is created by painting, textural detail was an important element in developing the images.  Karen has used lace, hand and machine stitching, new and recycled fabrics and hand dyed, hand painted fabric in her collaged images to create a unique style to illustrate a story.
