JOYA 2016 JOYA Barcelona Art Jewellery Fair is the main art jewellery event in Spain. Gathering a great number of independent artists as well as related organizations, schools and other entities, JOYA, in its 8 th edition prepares to present excellence and innovation in contemporary art jewellery.
The event goes beyond being an exhibition space for students and artists to present their latest work. JOYA, aimed towards professionals in the field as well as the general public, is also a platform of national and international exposure that enjoys a large number of media partners and collaborations with galleries and other events of the field.
JOYA 2016 will take place on September 29th ,30 th and 1 st October 2016 at Arts Santa Mónica, Spain. Arts Santa Mónica. La Rambla,7,08002 Barcelona. The Event JOYA is held during Barcelona Jewellery Week. Its goal is to promote national and international artists through exhibition and communication, support jewellery and help open up an artistic market that has remained under exploited until now. Moreover, JOYA is a platform for artists to interact and share experiences and discuss their common issues, an opportunity for artists, press, distributors and interested audience to come into contact. During 3 days, JOYA offers the designers a pleasant new space and environment to increase their contact lists and exhibit their pieces.
Candidate collectives from all countries will be eligible to participate in the exhibition. There are no restrictions regarding material, size and concept of the pieces.
To be eligible to participate, the artist collective members must be coherent in the aims of the work. Selection The participating collectives and artists in JOYA are selected according to the following criteria: originality and innovation of designs, concept, material, craftsmanship and coherence as a group under a theme or research line between them.
The selection of the collectives who will be participating to JOYA 2016 will be officially divulgated by e-mail on May 20 th , 2016. Required information to apply for JOYA 2016.

Features of the exhibition planned for JOYA 2016: -3 photographs of each artist´s work proposed to participate. Photo characteristics: White background ,300dpi minimum resolution in .JPG format.
Brief statement explaining the inspiration, used techniques and materials of the piece(s) (in .doc format). Note: all data should be submitted in the required formats (.doc, .jpg).

The application process starts on March 1st, 2016 and all material must be received by April 30th , 2016. No entries past the dead line will be accepted. Registration and participation fee. The application process is free for collectives. The participation fees for the selected collectives is: Collectives between 5 to 10 selected artists – 2000 euros+tax(21%) Fees are to be assumed as a collective, if registered, or divided by all selected collective participants. Fee payment must be received by : July 1 st , 2016. Banking information will be provided upon the selection committee final decisions.
Participation Includes: – White stand, basic lighting from the exhibition hall and support lightning. Display table dimensions: 242x121cm and 90 cm high. The applicant accepts that once the application is selected, this contract holds valid and both parts will be held in accordance to it. All payments of the participation fee must be made by the date specified. All shipping, transportation and set up, expenses for the stand will be covered by the participant(s). JOYA reserves the right to correct or remove any material or product that is not suitable to the aim and conditions of the show. The participant agrees to the organization´s use of photographs of the art material provided by the artists, as well as any taken during the fair, to be used in different media outlets, such as the web, catalogues, posters, magazines, video, etc.
