POP A.I.R. / ARTIST JEWELLER IN RESIDENCE

POP ATELIER BIJOU, under the responsibility of Monika Brugger, lecturer at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art, Limoges, offers a residence conceived as an exchange platform for artistic approaches specific to the school and in relation to the town of Limoges and its specific history.

Intended for artists working in the field of contemporary jewellery, the POP A.i.R residence sets out to create a platform to engage in artistic dialogue that goes beyond cultural, geographical and political boundaries. The resident is asked to develop work exploring body ornament using porcelain, ceramic or enamel on copper, in relation with the workshops specific to ENSA and its regional
partners. During the residency, the artist will offer a public lecture as well as a 6-day workshop or tutorial support in jewellery workshop projects.
ENSA offers the resident a work-place in the studio alongside the students, and the opportunity to use all of the school’s other workshops, allowing them to evolve freely and to fully focus on their practice.
• Accommodation: an apartment (bedroom / bathroom / kitchen) at the ENSA.
• Monthly allowance at a value of 700 euros.
• Workshop: a place in the POP workshop and access to ceramics, photography and video workshops.
It is expected that the jeweller in residence :
• is avaible for : a public lecture and a workshop or student tutorial project.
• will leave 1 or 2 pieces for the POP A.i.R collection.
