Residency Description
With regular classes throughout the year for people of all ages and occasional workshops held in the community, the Tiapapata Art Centre provides a valuable service for the development of Samoa’s creative economy and welcomes artists in residence to assist with its teaching programme while also allowing for the artist to create works of art that can be exhibited in one of two exhibitions held annually.
Accommodation at a reasonable rent is available in one of two self-contained apartments located in the home of the Tiapapata Art Centre Manager and Senior Teacher. This home is located approximately 100m away from the Art Studio and Kiln Room, on the same property.
Alternatively, prospective artists in residence may choose to stay in rental accommodation available in town and use public transport to get to the Art Centre.
