2018 Multifaith Calendar

Each year, the Multifaith Action Society invites artists to submit works of art for publication in our annual Multifaith Calendar. The theme for our upcoming 2018 edition is: The Power of Inspiration. We believe this theme is open to a wide variety of interpretations and leaves open the possibility for a rich array of artistic submissions.
Everyone wants to live an inspired life. A life moved by the spirit within, but what moves us differs from person to person. Inspiration can take the form of a beautiful sunset; a meal with friends; a neighbour’s kindness; or a parent’s unconditional love. Inspiration can come from our faith, from reading a book, from listening to music, or discovering a new skill or talent. We all need inspiration to get us through the times that are barren, dark, or heavy with burdens. Like a light piercing through the darkness, inspiration can lift us up and cheer us on when we feel we can’t go on. Inspiration is as needed as the air we breathe.
Show us The Power of Your Inspiration!  Please submit works of art in any medium that exemplifies our theme. Our aim is to produce a piece that will include a variety of interpretations on the theme, while creating a visually cohesive Calendar. We encourage all artists to submit images including artists who have had their work showcased in the past.
Submission Guidelines:
Artwork on this theme can be submitted in any medium. All artists are invited to submit including those who have never been featured in the Calendar and those who have been featured in past editions. Work can be in any medium. The interpretation of the theme will be determined by the overall collection of images received.
How We Pay Artists:
Selected artists will be offered an honorarium of $250 per monthly calendar image, $500 for the cover image, and $100 for smaller inset images placed throughout the Calendar. In addition, selected artists will receive a set of complimentary Calendars once published.
Deadline for submissions: January 31, 2017. Please submit digital images in low resolution (jpg / 72 dpi) to [email protected]
