The Faculty of Arts is seeking qualified sessional instructors to teach the following courses at Brandon University Campus for the 2018/19 Regular Winter session.  Please apply by submitting a letter of application, curriculum vitae and the names of three referees in a single pdf file to the individual named below the course.  Courses will be offered based on sufficient enrollment and budgetary restrictions. Qualifications                       Master’s Degree required.
Fall term runs from              January 3, 2019 to April 23, 2019
Salary:                                   $6,205 per 3 credit hour course

Thisstudiocourseisacontinuationof32:183,wheretechnical knowledge ofdrawingmediaisnowappliedtohistoricalformats includingstilllife,landscape,figuredrawingandtheportrait.Illustrationandexpressionisticdrawingwillalsobeexplored. 1.5lecturehoursperterm,2.5studiohoursperweek,oneterm. Thiscourseintroducesstudentstobasictechniquesandprinciples involvedinoilpainting.Information onpainthandling,colourtheory,canvaspreparationandtraditionalpaintingtechniquessuch asglazing,underpaintingandimpastowillbeexamined.Practical exerciseswillbeaccompaniedbylecturesonthehistoricalcontext andapplicationsofvarioustechniques. 1.5lecturehoursperweek,2.5studiohoursperweek,oneterm.
