Beginner Bobbin Lace: Rainbow Bookmark Workshop

Create your own rainbow bookmark using bobbin lace techniques! In this workshop you will learn a variety of basic bobbin lace stitches including cloth stitch, half stitch, cloth stitch and twist, and a foot pin edge.

Meet your instructors:

 

Risé Thompson and Jocelyn Froese, started learning bobbin lace in 2003. Taught by Ewa Kurnicka, owner of Needlepoint Place, they learnt a variety of lace techniques including Torchon, Bedfordshire, Bucks point, Russia, Bruges Flower Lace, and Cantu. Together in 2007 they founded the Northern Lights Lacemakers. The group meets on the last Sunday of the month, 1:30-4:30, at St. Peter’s Anglican Church.
