February 28-April 29, 2022
12 hrs/week (108 hours total), $15/hr

The MCC is seeking a craft, visual arts or communications focused student to join MCC as a Membership and Programming Intern. The primary role of the Intern is to support MCC’s spring programming schedule and outreach to new members, raising awareness of the Manitoba Craft Council as a resource to support, promote, and advocate for craftspeople at all stages of their careers. Through creative collaboration and ongoing outreach, MCC seeks to diversify and strengthen its membership, connect with new audiences, and deliver more fully on its provincial mandate.

Students in fields related to Craft, Visual Arts, Curatorial/Museum Studies, Arts Management or Creative Communications will receive mentoring in valuable skills related to arts administration, outreach, and communications. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, think creatively, act responsibly and demonstrate professionalism.

Responsibilities of the Membership and Programming Intern may include:
-assisting with Spring programme planning and implementation
-development of MCC’s membership benefits programme
-outreach to new members
-creation of promotional materials highlighting MCC membership and members
-assisting visitors in the C2 gallery and shop

Eligibility:
-Applicants must be current students, part or full-time, and legally eligible to work in Canada. There is no age limitation on this opportunity.
