Artwork drop off at C2 by 4 pm, February 10, 2023

Manitoba Craft Council is excited to present the CU at C2 Annual Fundraising Auction in support of craft and its makers in Manitoba. Originally a celebration of the partnership that gave rise to the C2 Centre for Craft, each year friends of the MCC gather at an event thematically inspired by the anniversary gift connected with that year: Paper in 2017, Cotton in 2018, Leather in 2019, an unwelcome break for COVID19, and now Copper in 2023.

On February 25, 2022 at the C2 Centre for Craft, MCC will invite the community to celebrate Manitoba craft. This year, CRAFT and CRAFTSPEOPLE will be firmly in the spotlight: a silent auction of fine, contemporary craft will take centrestage. Set in the beautiful Shirley Richardson Craft Gallery in the C2 Centre for Craft, each donated artwork will be professionally installed and accompanied by a text panel describing the artist and their work. A printed catalogue of all auction items will enhance attendees’ appreciation of the work and the craft artists behind it.

The evening will include the silent craft auction, food, drinks, and more, bringing together hip professionals and creatives from Winnipeg’s business, media, and arts communities. The event illustrates the vitality of craft in Manitoba, highlights MCC supporters, and celebrates artistic talent and passion within our community.

We are seeking donations of high quality, handmade artworks for the auction. To donate work, please fill out the Google Form HERE

You will be asked to provide basic contact information, a description of the work to be donated, a minimum starting bid ($25 and higher), a short bio, and an image of your work to be used for promotional purposes.

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accept a limited number of donations. Auction donations will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis until capacity is reached. Artists may choose to donate 50, 75 or 100% of the proceeds of the sale of their work at auction. Donating artists will receive 1 ticket to the fundraiser.
