Call for Donations: Changing Hands – A Craft Destash Sale

CALL FOR DONATIONS
We are excited to present Changing Hands 2025: A Craft DeStash Sale set to take place on Sunday, November 2, 2025. This fun sale helps raise funds to support craftspeople through the work of the Manitoba Craft Council and Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library.

We need your help! We are seeking donations of clean, good quality craft-related items from a smoke-free environment:
– CRAFT TOOLS, eg: knitting needles, carving set, power drill, bobbin winder
– CRAFT MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES, eg: skeins of yarn, fabric (pieces 30 x 30 cm min), beads, exotic wood
– CRAFT EQUIPMENT, eg: sewing machine, lathe, pottery wheel, drawing table

THREE ADVANCE DROP OFF LOCATIONS
October 1-26, 2025

1. 29 Salme Drive, Winnipeg (off St. Vital Road just west of Dunkirk Drive)
2. 362 Kingston Crescent, Winnipeg (off Dunkirk Drive, just south of the Red River)
Please put your donations in a plastic bag or box clearly marked Changing Hands. Leave items in/on the front porch. No need to ring the bell or knock – we’ll be checking frequently. Drop off at your convenience.
3. Poco Inspired, 495 D Madison St, Winnipeg, MB (St. James business district)
Please drop off items inside the store during business hours. Please don’t leave donations outside. Poco Inspired is open:
Wed-Sat, 12-7 pm
Sun, 12-5 pm
Closed Mon-Tues

ONE LAST-MINUTE DROP OFF LOCATION
October 29-30, 2025, 12-4 pm at: C2 Centre for Craft, 1-329 Cumberland Ave (loading zone in front of building)
Please buzz 22 to be let in. Please do not leave items outside.

For larger items or larger quantities of items, or any questions, please contact us at tsutherland@c2centreforcraft.ca to make drop-off arrangements ahead of time. Any donated items not sold as part of this fundraiser may be retained by MCC/MCML for future events or will be donated to Arts Junktion or a charitable thrift store, as appropriate and at the discretion of the event organizers.
