MCML Workshop: Bobbin Lace with Jocelyn Froese

Beginner Bobbin Lace: Rainbow Bookmarks 

During the class, students will work on a sampler of three basic bobbin lace stitches: cloth stitch, cloth stitch & twist plus half stitch. Choose from the pillows set up with a variety of colours in DMC pearl cotton threads. The sampler will become a bookmark to take home.

About the instructor- Jocelyn Froese

Jocelyn Froese learned bobbin lace through evening classes offered in Winnipeg at Needlepoint Place starting in 2004.  She learned a variety of laces from teacher Ewa Kurnicka including: Torchon, Bedfordshire, Bucks Point, Russian, Bruges Flower Lace and Cantu. She has also explored techniques in Idrija ‘sGravenmoer (Dutch), Milanese, Italian needlelace, and is currently exploring Swedish lace. Jocelyn is a retired elementary school teacher excited about helping other learn this unique craft.
