Main Street Area Action Plan: SMALL GRANTS, BEAUTIFICATION

SMALL GRANTS, BEAUTIFICATION

Powered by the Main Street Area Action Plan (MSAAP)

MSAAP is a coalition of community-based organizations, non-profit, community advocates, and governmental partners working to build spaces for community where all people feel safe and connected to one another and the neighbourhood. The plan aims to enliven the Main Street area with a sense of love and hope, through access to housing, health services, recreation, cultural connections, and natural and built beauty.

MSAAP Beautification Committee

The Beautification Committee is part of the Main Street Area Action Plan. We focus on transforming public spaces with care, pride, and community leadership. This includes murals, greening initiatives, cultural landmarks, seating, and other physical enhancements that bring joy and beauty to the Main Street Area.

MSAAP Small Grants – Beautification Stream

This grant is available to organizations big and small or groups of community members who want to come together to beautify the neighbourhood with art projects, community space development, benches, plants, murals or any other physical improvement that makes the area more beautiful.

Successful proposals will be community-led, promote cultural expression, foster connection to land, improve physical public spaces, and help represent the true story of this vibrant neighbourhood. We’re looking for projects that are visible, aligned with the guiding principles and values of the Main Street Area Action Plan, and rooted in community identity and pride.
