The Winnipeg Public Library is currently recruiting three local makers to act as Makers-in-Residence for our 2026 terms. There are three residency opportunities available that will run for 15 weeks out of the ideaMILL on the 3rd floor of the Millennium Library, the term dates are:
- Term 1: late January to early May
- Term 2: mid-May to late August

Term 3: early September to mid-December

During their residency, each MiR will:
- Offer weekly, scheduled drop-in hours in the ideaMILL that allow them to create and share their skills on-site with library visitors
- Create and deliver 5 workshops at branch libraries teaching their skillset to participants
Each MiR will receive a stipend of $13,000 and a budget of up to $2,000 for supplies.
