Fusion Clay & Glass: Henry Goodman Exhibition for Emerging Artists

FUSION is delighted to launch the Call for Entry for the inaugural Henry Goodman Exhibition for Emerging Artists. This new juried exhibition invites emerging ceramic and glass artists to respond to the theme GATHERING with functional or sculptural work completed since January 2024.

“What does gathering mean to you?” We want to see work that reflects your interpretation of this theme. Alongside your submission, share your artist statement to unpack the meaning and context of your work.

The exhibition will be juried by Chukwudubem Ukaigwe, 2025 Sobey Art Award finalist.

Exhibition Schedule & Venues:

  • Art Gallery of Burlington, Burlington, ON: May 21 – June 21, 2026

  • Rails End Gallery, Haliburton, ON: July 15 – September 8, 2026

  • Neilson Park Creative Arts Centre, Mississauga, ON: September 21 – October 11, 2026

The exhibition will be accompanied by a digital catalogue.

Open to FUSION members who meet our emerging artist definition:

An emerging artist is in the early stages of their professional career, developing a distinct artistic voice, building a focused body of work, and committing to a sustained ceramic or glass practice. Emerging artists may be formally trained or self-taught. They are actively working toward public presentation through exhibitions, sales, residencies, teaching, or other professional opportunities. Emerging status is not tied to age; it is inclusive of artists at any life stage newly establishing a professional practice.

You must be a FUSION member to apply.
