Call for Submission
Texture in Craft: Manitoba Craft Council’s Member Show 2027
Submission Deadline: December 1st, 2026 at 11:59pm
Show Run: January 8th – February 24th, 2027
Opening Reception: January 8th, 2027 from 6-9 pm
The theme for the 2027 Manitoba Craft Council Member Show is Texture in Craft! Show us the rough, fuzzy, prickly, bumpy, and squishy things you’re making in your studio and they will be displayed in a group exhibition at the C2 Centre for Craft.
All Manitoba Craft Council members are welcome to submit recent works in craft, and all member submissions will be accepted into the show.

Eligibility
– open to all current Manitoba Craft Council members at any membership level
– one piece of recent work made in the last three years may be submitted per person
– work must be of original design; it may be functional, decorative, or conceptual
– all craft-based media and techniques are welcome (eg. ceramics, textiles, wood, metal, glass, jewellery, paper, etc.)
– Please do not submit non-craft items such as: paintings, drawings, photography
– Maximum sizes for artworks: 11” height x 11” width x 11” depth / 28 cm height x 28 cm width x 28 cm depth
– Please submit works that respond to the theme ‘Texture in Craft’
– All eligible submissions from MCC members will be accepted into the exhibition
Deadlines
Submit to this form by December 1st, 2026 at 11:59pm
The MCC will send an email by December 3rd, 2026 acknowledging receipt of your submission. Please contact us ASAP at the contact information below if you do not receive this email.
Drop off:
December 2nd – 5th, 2026 | 12-4 pm
December 9th-12th, 2026 | 12-4pm
December 16th – 19th, 2026 | 12-4pm
Pick up: March 4th onwards Wed-Sat 12-4pm
*Please directly contact the MCC if drop-off times are incompatible with your schedule
*Artists located outside of Winnipeg (rural Manitoba and Southwestern Ontario only) may mail in their artworks to this show. Please contact us directly at mccprogramming@c2centreforcraft.ca if you will be mailing in artwork.
Terms
– artists/craftspeople will receive a 60% commission on any work sold during the exhibition. The price listed on your application will be the retail price listed on the work. Artists may mark works as NFS (Not For Sale.)
– all work will remain on display for the full duration of the show. Work that is sold will be picked up by buyers at the exhibition’s end. All unsold work will be picked up by the artist at the exhibition’s end.
Promotion
MCC will be promoting the exhibition through its media and social media networks. All participating artists are encouraged to promote the exhibition widely through their social media and personal networks as well. Digital promotional materials for the show will be sent to all participating artists.
