The Peter Tittenberger On the Verge Award
Call for Submissions
Deadline: February 11, 2027
Peter Tittenberger was a versatile and prolific artist, generous in his contributions to Winnipeg’s arts ecosystem, kind and no-nonsense in his interactions with others. Many will recall his work featured in numerous Manitoba Craft Council exhibitions over the years and at holiday craft sales like Crafted and Made in the Middle. From 2018-2021, Peter served on the MCC board, assisting with fundraising and programming. His passing in June 2024 left a hole in the hearts of his family and friends as well as Winnipeg’s craft community.
The On the Verge Award honours Peter’s life and legacy by supporting an emerging craftsperson, giving them a leg up at a crucial time in their development. Emerging craft artists in any medium whose early work and community contributions show promise are eligible.
